McCleary et al. describe a method for measuring digestible starch and sucrose in the presence of fructo-oligosaccharides. The method selectively measures available and unavailable dietary carbohydrates, allowing accurate labeling of food products.

Cereal Chemistry is seeking research on hazards relevant to the agriculture and food industries for grains and grain-based foods to help ensure risk-management measures are meaningful and effective. Submit by June 30, 2020, to be considered.
