About Hollywood, Florida

Hollywood, Florida, is located in South Florida in the Broward County region of the Miami metropolitan area. Hollywood, otherwise known as the “Diamond” of the Gold Coast, has palm tree lined streets and sits on roughly 6 miles of sparkling Atlantic Ocean and award-winning white sand beaches. Home to the Hollywood Broadwalk, voted by Travel & Leisure as one of “America’s Best Beach Boardwalk", Hollywood maintains an old laid back Florida feel, despite an urban locale.

Dining and Entertainment

Fort Lauderdale skylineHollywood has particularly large populations of Italians, Peruvians, Romanians, Greeks, and Turks compared to the rest of South Florida...all of whom bring their great cuisine with them. The “Broadwalk” pedestrian path offers oceanfront stolling, shopping, and dining. A convenient trolley service from Hollywood Beach to a redeveloped, art deco Downtown makes it easy to get out and experience it all.

Sports and Recreation

Aside from championship golfing or walking/running/biking on the Broadwalk, there are numerous active recreational options such as everglades excursions, sailing regattas, canoeing, kayaking, bicycle tours, and horseback riding. For a more educational experience, explore the Anne Kolbe Nature Center, tour the Las Olas Art Gallery and Museum of Modern Art, or visit Arts Park and Charnow Park. Hollywood also shares the Intercostal Waterway with Fort Lauderdale so boat tours are another excellent way to explore the area.
