Cereals & Europe (C&E) and the German Research Centre for Food Chemistry (DFA), we are pleased to invite you to attend the 13th European Young Cereal Scientists and Technologists Workshop (EYCSTW). The workshop will be hosted at the Research Centre located in Freising, Germany, about 30 km north of Munich´s city centre, from May 14–16, 2014.

The host group is engaged in research around different biopolymers, and especially on the characterization and quantification of plant biopolymers, in particular those of cereals. The work is focused on the structural and functional characterization of the storage proteins of different cereal species. Other research groups within the research centre focus on Hedonic Value, Physiology or Food Composition Tables for example.

The scientific program of the workshop will involve oral and poster presentations by the participants. We encourage young researchers (PhD students, Post-Doc) to submit an abstract for their planned participation (poster or oral presentation). In the program, 5 min will be given for a poster presentation and 15 min for an oral presentation. Each presentation will be followed by 5 min of discussion. Presentations on any cereal related topics are welcome.

Registration fees are 250 € (C&E members) or 275 € (non C&E members), and include accommodation, book of abstracts, meals and social events.
